LEWISTOWN—Friday, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a possible sex offense in Astoria.
Deputies learned 43 year old Robert W. Vaughn, Astoria, had electronic communication with a person he believed to be 11 years old. Additionally, he had arranged to meet with the juvenile female.

Vaughn was subsequently taken into custody and charged with solicitation/grooming of a person believed to be a child.
He is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail awaiting his first appearance in court.

Fulton County Sgt., Jon Webb said this incident remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible.
