The Harley Davidson x440 will launch in India in early July, 2023. It may come with an ex-showroom price of ₹2.7 lakh in the country.
The motorcycle has a chunky front, dominated by a large square-ish fuel tank. It has a single-piece seat kinks that flows into the pillion section. The motorcycle is flanked by a meaty grab rails on either side. The exhaust system looks simple.
Harley Davidson x440 features MRF tyres sporting a retro tread pattern. The front wheel measures 18-inch, while the rear wheel is 17-inch. The x 440 body is held together by a tubular frame. It comes with preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers.
The motorcycle features single disc brakes on the front and rear wheel. It also offers dual-channel ABS as standard.
As mentioned above, the Harley Davidson x440 is powered by a oil-cooled, single-cylinder 440 cc engine. It is likely to offer a 20hp output and 27Nm peak torque, although this could be 40Nm.
Harley Davidson x440 will be the first product under the Hero MotoCorp-Harley Davidson tie-up. Earlier this month, Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said the company is gearing up for highest ever model introductions this fiscal as it looks to consolidate market share especially in the premium bike segment. «We’ll have product launches every quarter of this fiscal year. Probably this fiscal, we’ll see the maximum number of launches ever seen in the company’s history,» Gupta said in an analyst call. During the analyst call, he stated that the company is focusing on the premium segment bikes, with power ranging between 150cc and 450cc.
